5000 Role Models of Excellence was created to boost the self – image, social skills and academic performance of selected males, in part, by motivating them to interact with respected and successful men from the community. This program matches young men who are struggling in school with mentors who will meet with them on a regular basis.

Junior Aquarists
At the start of each school year, 4th and 5th grade students can fill out an application to become a Jr. Aquarist. The responsible students chosen for this job will each be assigned to one aquarium around the school. They are trained to observe the aquarium, feed the animals, clean the tank and more.

The mission of the Campbell Park Elementary Environmental Science Club is to explore the natural world around the school. Through hands on investigation and exploration, students will learn to be good stewards of our local environment.
Who: Approximately 25 students from the 5th grade
What: A Campbell Park Club focusing on our local watershed
When: Tuesdays from 3:00pm - 4:30pm
Where: The Marine Science Lab and Booker Creek
As a member of the Environmental Science Club, students will become “Watershed Watchers.” The purpose of this program is to give Science Club students the opportunity to learn about their local watershed by becoming fully immersed in every aspect of it. The culminating project will apply the knowledge they gain and skills they learn to a study trip. This study trip will follow Booker Creek, which is located behind our school, from its origin in Booker Lake to where it flows out into Tampa Bay. Students will focus on mapping, water quality, plankton sampling, plant and animal ID, as well as photography.
